How did you react when your doctor ordered a colonoscopy?

I have had this proceedure carried out three times. I am part of a clinical trial for new treatment for anal cancer so being monitored so closely has been very reassuring. It wasn’t so much the actual proceedure I found a challenge (it’s uncomfortable but with a sedative and pain relief bearable and quick) it has been the prep. Three days on a low residue diet followed by living on the toilet for about 12 hours is no fun.
